On our first stop in space we arrive at a little Kickstarter named Space Command. This is an epic vision. To bring back hope and a sense of optimism to sci-fi. But not in some nostalgic, oh how quaint, way. In a serious, no nonsense series of high production films. They made their goal in three days and are now rising quickly to their first stretch goal. Why not go give them a shove? I mean, look at this:

For our next stop in space, we come to Andromeda. Or rather, Two Guys from Andromeda. The team behind the classic series of Space Quest games. They’re back, and they want to make a new SpaceVenture. Full disclosure, I never played the original Space Quest games, but this project looks awesome. They’re at about halfway to their goal, and I really hope they make it. I mean, even though I never played the games, their humor and style had wiggled it’s way into my brain without me even knowing. I instantly recognized the two guys’ avatars, and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why. I think anyone who has that much penetration into the popular consciousness deserves a whack at another go. Plus they look so silly and hilarious. I mean look:
Right? Right?!?
And finally we come back down to Earth, to Philadelphia. Where a group of webshow veterans are about pit Nerd vs. Geek. I know firsthand that nerds and geeks don’t always get along like you’d expect them to. Finally, the true story gets told. So check out their hilarious Kickstarter video. Featuring chewable sedatives, and wood paneling. Watch the video, you’ll understand.
